Our Discovery process

Built with your team, not just for them.

Every build begins with our fixed-price Discovery engagement. The aim is simple: understand how your team actually works, sketch the solution together, and prove the design before a single line of production code gets written. It's the discipline our clients hire us for.

STEP 01

Talk to the people who use it

We sit with the people who'll touch the software every day. Their pain points are your requirements. We listen for what slows them down today and where a tool built for them would change the day.

STEP 02

Map the work, not just the wishlist

The actual processes the software has to serve: intake, approvals, handoffs, the exceptions. We document them in your team's language, not ours, so everyone agrees on what's being built before anything gets built.

STEP 03

Sketch the screens together

Whiteboards, paper, low-fidelity mockups. Visual conversation surfaces disagreements about how the work really flows in seconds, disagreements that written specs would let slip silently into the build.

STEP 04

Build a clickable prototype

Realistic enough to test. Your team plays with it, finds what's wrong, and tells us what to fix, cheaply, before a line of production code exists. Most surprises surface here, not in user acceptance testing.

STEP 05

Ship, refine, repeat

Two-week sprints. Working software in front of your team continuously. They feed back, we refine, they feed back again, until the tool fits their day so well they'd resist going back.
