Working with us
Our business is 100% built on having great people and our goal is to give our staff the most enjoyable, challenging and fulfilling job of their career.
We’re a long way from perfect but we are fortunate to have both long term (current average tenure over 7 years) and highly engaged staff (based on regular anonymous surveys)
Accepting & Technically Focused Environment
The owners of the firm and your colleagues are all software engineers (many of them quite brilliant). The dress code is casual, there’s break out spaces to get away and a pool table for those who are interested. We have a relaxed and diverse culture with staff from all corners of the globe.
Variety of Projects
We undertake custom web and mobile programming for clients across a broad range of industries. Over time you’ll do work on a variety of systems in different platforms, each with unique challenges.
A Focus on Your Career Development
We want our people to continually grow – you’ll work in small teams, do code reviews, participate in weekly training sessions and be part of our ongoing professional development program.
Try Before You Buy
We understand moving jobs can be risky so we give suitable applicants the option to do a week of paid work and check us out first (we think you’ll like it…).
We Value Coding Skills (more than qualifications or employment history…)
We know that you become a great programmer by spending thousands of hours writing code. So whilst a solid employment history and qualifications are handy (they show you can stick with something) it’s really your programming skills we’re interested in.
We’re close to the Blackburn train station so if you live in the area or nearby on the train line you’ll save time every day!
The Right Size
We’re a 35 person business. Big enough to be stable and organised, small enough to be fun.
We value work life balance and have automatic paid overtime. Typically staff will earn $50 – $60 per hour for each hour of work they do above their base target (generally the base is set at 6.5 – 7 hours per day). This means that those who work 9 hour days can earn an extra $15,000 – $20,000 per annum. It also gives you the capacity to earn a little extra at times you need it.
We want to excel at what we do
We build software to make people’s lives better.
We do this by our staff being in the best place they’ve ever worked, by fuelling our customers success and enabling end users to gain value from our customers platforms.
